When violinist and producer Alex Stolze meets trumpeter Yael Gat, a captivating cross-genre dialogue emerges, blending Jewish musical history with modern sonic aesthetics. Yael Gat—founder of the ensemble Folkadu—brings a deep engagement with Jewish folklore, traditional desert song (in Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino), and the sacred sound of the shofar, bridging the gap between ancient diasporic narratives and the present. Her warm, expressive horn and vocal lines meet the sonic world of Alex Stolze. Known for his work with groups like Bodi Bill and Dictaphone, Stolze weaves together Middle Eastern scales, polyrhythms, and organic live loops on his custom-made five-string electro-acoustic violin. Through skillful layering, dense, hypnotic soundscapes and danceable grooves take shape right before the audience’s eyes. The duo fuses historical roots, sacred rhythms, and analog playing techniques with contemporary club and ambient culture. It is a concert that serves as a living musical memory—powerful, moving, and deeply captivating.
