Cosima Göpfert: Anklang

Visions of the future in the city

The sound of society is an interaction between voices, thoughts, desires and intentions. The long-term artistic project ANKLANG brings these together, composing snapshots of our present. Members of Lebenshilfe Weimar accompany artist Cosima Göpfert to public places— streets and schoolyards, parties, city councils and cafés—and collect ideas and suggestions from passers-by on key future questions: How do we want to live? What visions do we carry within us? What should stay the same and what should change? Each response is condensed into a few words, fired in clay and ultimately turned into part of a poetic sound installation in the heart of Weimar—an expression of cultural co-existence that inspires hope.
