An exhibition of certain uncertainties

Our present age is characterised by ecological, political, and social uncertainties—ranging from a vast, cosmic level to that of our personal daily lives which are shifting ever more rapidly. Certainties are losing their shape, plans are falling apart, and the world seems to be unravelling. Uncertainty, however, is not a state of emergency, but an essential condition for change: it calls on us to be alert, think differently and discover new things. Gaswerk presents an exhibition that does not stand still and may even throw some things off balance. Interactive installations, videos, sculptures, drawings and objects relinquish control for a moment. Featuring works by Laura McLardy, Karo Kollwitz, Ute H. Venus, Tommy Neuwirth, Benedikt Braun, Timm Burkhardt, Stephan von Tresckow, Hyun Jea Lee, Canan Yilmaz and students of the Regelschule Werner-Seelenbinder Apolda.
