FORUM »In Gesellschaft«: Möglichkeiten von Widerstand

Bringing traces of resistance to light

Who resisted under the conditions of Nazi violence—and in what form? Which stories are known today, and which remain hidden? In this talk session, we look at sites of Nazi persecution and forced labor that reopen the discussion on the possibilities of resistance while seeking contemporary ways of telling these stories. What is needed to make traces visible and to foster historical reflection? What interpretations do art, theater, and memorials have to offer? In conversation: Thomas Altmeyer (Studienkreis Deutscher Widerstand 1933–1945 & Geschichtsort Adlerwerke, Frankfurt/Main), Nadine Jessen (Kampnagel, Hamburg), and Tatiana Liani (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), moderated by Nora Hespers.
