»DER HUND VON KARIBU« / »CHARLIE CHAPLIN ALS AUSWANDERER«

Canine superstar Rin-tin-tin appeared in his third film role in this adventure movie. The German shepherd, which was rescued from the trenches in the First World War, initially became a popu- lar circus star before appearing in 26 films and earning 6.000 Dollars per week.In this atmo- spheric adventure set in the snows of northern Canada, Rin-tin-tin grows up among wolves and is adopted by the fur trapper Dupre. His keen sense of smell enables him to bring a villain to justice. The film is preceded by one of Charlie Chaplin’s early masterpieces. His tragicomedy ‘The Immigrant‘ revolutionised the language of film.
