The »Just For You« Trilogy

OMA – Other Music Academy

The “Just For You” trilogy is an immersive virtual reality exploration of human existence,
delving into the delicate interplay between reality and dreams, longing and contentment, and the profound simplicity of being. Presented in three chapters – “All That Remains”, “Over the
Rainbow” and “A Simple Silence” – the trilogy redefines the boundaries of classical storytelling, inviting audiences to become integral parts of the narrative rather than mere observers. The “Just for You” trilogy uses evocative imagery and personal storytelling to explore our connectedness to the world around us, imbuing the environment with an animistic quality. The boundary between seeing and being seen becomes blurred; the audience is not merely a witness but a part of the experience itself. By breaking the boundaries between audience and performer, the trilogy creates an immersive space of vulnerability and introspection. It invites people to lose and then rediscover themselves in life’s fleeting moments. The Riverbed Theatre was founded in Taipei,
Taiwan in 1998. The ensemble’s image-based total theatre productions blur the boundaries between visual and performance art. Critics have praised the organic, sculptural quality of Riverbed’s “subconscious” theatre and compared its performances to the work of Samuel Beckett
and David Lynch. Riverbed has been invited to numerous theatre and film festivals across the whole world. All three chapters of the “Just For You” trilogy were selected for the Immersive Film Festival at the Venice Film Festival.
