»HARRY PIEL – AUF DER SUCHE NACH DEM VERSCHOLLENEN ACTIONSTAR« - Lecture by Andreas Thein

Head of the Archive at Düsseldorf Film Museum and film restorer Andreas Thein describes how he tracked down rare fragments of footage from around the world to reconstruct the work by Harry Piel that was largely destroyed during the Second World War.

»THE MAN WITHOUT NERVES« - Film

The film distributors billed this film with Harry Piel as “not an everyday story, plucked out of thin air”. Here he plays a writer who puts a criminal behind bars and then creates a literary adaptation of his story. As soon as the criminal is released, an attack is committed. Garnished with a romance, the story picks up pace and Piel once again reveals himself as “the absolute favourite of all those who like men to be properly masculine and true daredevils”. Not a film for the faint hearted!
