17 festival days, around 100 events, artists from more than 15 countries and around 23,000 audience visits – Kunstfest Weimar 2026 has come to a close. We look back on this special time with great joy and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who made this festival possible: our wonderful audiences, the artists and ensembles, our partners in Weimar and beyond, all our supporters and, of course, our entire team.

Together, we danced, marvelled, discussed, listened, laughed and discovered new perspectives. We were especially delighted by the many encounters at the festival centre at Lichthaus, which once again became a vibrant place for exchange, art and coming together to experience the festival.

With 80 percent of tickets sold and a strong response to our free events, we are taking great momentum from this first year under the new artistic leadership. Above all, though, what will stay with us are the many encounters, conversations and special moments that shaped this year’s Kunstfest.
