Chilly Gonzales returns

Shortly before Christmas, we are full of anticipation for the next festival and announce a first program item: On Saturday, August 26, 2023, exceptional artist Chilly Gonzales will return to the city of classics. Due to high demand and the extremely successful concert two years ago, Chilly Gonzales' show will take place in the Weimarhalle - for even more spectators:inside.

"The Cologne-based Canadian, as always in a robe over shirt and trousers and in house slippers, (...) reliably proves to be the undisputed wild slipper hero of the concert podiums. (...) And the audience is thrilled out of its boots," was the verdict of the Thüringer Allgemeine on this Kunstfest evening in 2021 - which is exactly what the Weimar audience can expect again in 2023: The entertainer gives everything on stage.

Chilly Gonzales is known both for the intimate piano sounds of his best-selling album trilogy "Solo Piano" and for his sweaty show interludes and his compositions for award-winning stars. In his trademark slippers and bathrobe, he fills the world's great philharmonic halls - so on any given night of his solo concerts, you can catch him, for example, giving a musicological analysis of a Billie Eilish hit or demonstrating his talent as a rapper. 

He sings and writes songs with Jarvis Cocker, Feist and Drake and won a Grammy for his collaboration on Daft Punk's Best Album of the Year.
