FSJ Kultur

In the FSJ Kultur, you can get to know all stages of festival work: In addition to the opportunity to work intensively on specific projects, the FSJ Kultur at Kunstfest Weimar includes a wide range of tasks. Tasks such as supporting the guest performance organization (planning travel and accommodation, obtaining offers, artist support, etc.) as well as assisting with editing the program booklet or developing ideas for marketing campaigns. Communication makes up a large part of the festival work, so the tasks in the FSJ Kultur include communication with partners and guest performance groups as well as general office work. The work mainly takes place in our office in downtown Weimar. In addition, the connection to the German National Theater Weimar gives you the opportunity to get to know the working methods of a municipal theater. At the Kunstfest Weimar, one gets a good insight into the cultural business and can gain first experiences in project organization. Since the festival encompasses several art genres, there is the opportunity to gain experience in different areas (music, dance, theater/performance, visual arts). The relatively small team offers the opportunity to get a taste of all areas of responsibility and to contribute one's own ideas. In addition to the acquisition of practical skills in the area of project management, the opportunities lie in the testing of independent work, organization and time management and a variety of communication forms. The implementation of an independent project is desired and actively supported.
