OPEN CALL: Mobile production 2024

Kunstfest Weimar 2024 and the Thuringian Theater Association, together with LOFFT- DAS THEATER from Leipzig, are looking for concepts for a mobile production. The production will deal with topics that are relevant for rural areas. The first performance and a series of further play dates will take place within the framework of the Kunstfest 2024 (21.08.- 08.09. 2024).
We are looking for independent artists with a connection to Thuringia and/or Saxony. A concept for a faull-length production with a duration of at least 60 minutes is desired. In addition to the performances at the Kunstfest 2024, there should be further performances in Thuringia and Saxony. Due to this, the production shall be performed at locations without technical infrastructure and therefore easily tourable. A financial contribution of probably 32.000,00€ and support for application and fundraising is offered. Free rehearsal time for the research phase at the LOFFT, support and mediation in the search for further rehearsal and performance venues in Thuringia, advice on financing the touring, public relations and advertising by the LOFFT, the Kunstfest Weimar and the Thuringian Theater Association and support for the development of the production will be provided.
