To mark the end of the exhibition → Humor als Waffe (Humour as a Weapon), Christoph Blankenburg will appear at Galerie Eigenheim with a video lecture-performance. In his films, he combines performance and film, engaging with places, their histories and local identities in a way that is both exploratory and spontaneous. Through movement, interaction and exploration, he creates exaggerations, absurd situations and surprising shifts in the familiar. In this process, the body becomes a tool for interpreting places and their stories differently and for challenging existing ideas about identity, home and belonging.

In the video lecture performance, Blankenburg combines film footage with narration and performative elements, once again bringing together humour, disorientation and the questioning of social attributions.
