Humor als Waffe
Humor as an Artistic Tool – Then and Now
This curated group exhibition with national and international artists approaches humor not as entertainment, but as an artistic and social strategy in times of crisis. Laughter questions power, fosters solidarity, and enables collective empowerment. Humor disarms, breaks taboos, and undermines authority. Artists use the comic—from caricature to meme—as a form of critique and subversion. Part of EIGENHEIM’s program »The Bright Side – On the Power of Optimism« it proposes a stance that can counter populism and polarization.
As part of the exhibition, a discussion with Gabriele Stötzer about the film → Komik – komisch will take place on 2 September
