Weimarer Kontroversen: Wie können wir im Gespräch bleiben?

Debate for an open society

Open society continually faces new challenges, and its principles are increasingly called into question. Under the title »The Open Society and Its Friends« the Klassik Stiftung Weimar presents a series of debates on controversial contemporary issues. This evening’s discussion will focus on how we deal collectively as a society with extremely divergent political views and the deliberate provocation and exploitation of fear and insecurity. In conversation, artist Tanja Krone and democracy researcher Matthias Quent will offer insights into their work and discuss with Carsten Tesch (MDR) how hardened attitudes can be softened, resilience cultivated and a new openness fostered between people.
