Tanja Krone, born in Chemnitz, is a theatre maker and musician. She organised ‘the first security conference of the former East’ as part of Chemnitz’s 2025 European Capital of Culture programme. The event explored questions of security in uncertain times. We are bringing this project to Weimar for the Kunstfest 2026. Short songs and musical pieces are emerging from the workshop’s discussions about identity, security and uncertainties.

These will be performed on Tuesday 25 August, together with the band, at → Songs of (In)Security at the Gaswerk Weimar.

No prior musical experience is required – all you need is a desire to join in!
