New methods of sound construction are explored, taking the experi- mental visual art of Bauhaus filmmaker Alfred Ehrhardt as their starting point. “Ensemble klangwerk am Bau- haus” explores the formative facets of sonic art in various line-ups. Performing compositions by Chaya Czernowin, Sarah Nemtsov, Charlotte Seither, Albert Breier und Uroš Rojko, it investigates how sound unfolds in form from a range of different perspectives. Can we also hear with our eyes? Two experts on bal- ancing sounds guide us through the spiral of recog- nition: Marcus Aydintan and Ulrich Kreppein inform, inspire and interact, eloquently offering composers’ insights and wisdom on an evening when form and sound come together in unprecedented fashion, not least in the remarkable world premiere by compos- er John Palmer.
