»THE HANDS OF ORLAC«

Lichthaus Kino

Following an accident, the talented pianist Paul Orlac is given the hands of an executed murderer in a transplant. All the dead man’s most brutal inclinations seem to have been transplanted with them. With the protagonist healed and yet so close to madness at the same time, the action
escalates until eventually a murder is committed. Was it really Orlac? This classic piece of
expressionist cinema processes the trauma of the First World War and is one of the founding works of the horror genre.
