On 17 days in late summer, from 21 August to 6 September, Kunstfest Weimar presents a programme packed with international and Thuringian contemporary art: In -> RoZéO, figures float on six-metre-high poles above the Ilmpark; in -> Soundtrack for Midnight TAMURO, modified cars become an orchestra on the Apolda Festwiese; and -> Izithukuthuku celebrates the dignity of resistance through the rhythmic street dance of isiPantsula. Humorous performances that transcend »deficiencies« from a Deaf perspective in -> Pas Moi and rebellious choreographies on the DNT’s Große Bühne in -> Maldonne alternate with intimate theatrical moments at the Redoute in -> Four Walls and a Roof, -> 96 %, and -> Memory Distortion. MIXTAPE, or inner German stories by the poolside of the Schwanseebad in -> Nach der Bahn die Wende. We invite you to rediscover yourself and the world, and to celebrate the unifying power of art.
